Sovena Oilseeds España, S.A.U. has implemented the project “Improving energy efficiency in the sunflower oil production process” at its industrial plant in Andújar (Jaén), co-financed by the National Energy Efficiency Fund and the Regional Government of Andalusia through the Andalusian Energy Agency, within the framework of the Aid Program for energy efficiency actions in SMEs and large companies in the industrial sector regulated by Royal Decree 263/2019. With a total investment of €433,187.39 and an incentive of €129,956.22, the project has incorporated high-efficiency technologies into the main production processes—ATEX motors, temperature probes in silos, LED lighting, silo waterproofing, refinery tower fillings, and a new screening system—achieving annual energy savings of 393,422 kWh and a reduction in emissions of 205 tons of CO₂, thus strengthening the company's competitiveness, sustainability, and environmental commitment.
